The Democrats were able to put forward the salient points of the report, with Mueller confirming those. Because they are aware the majority of the Americans most probably did not read the report.

Yawn... This is the biggest dog and pony show ever.

In the end, this report will change nothing.

I disagree. I think he was over-cautious in trying to make sure that nothing he said nor his report could be misrepresented for the future news cycle and partisan rhetoric.

It may not have played well for television but I believe he was effective at doing this.

If he is such a man of integrity, though, won't you expect that he'd hire other people with integrity? Wouldn't he order his subordinates to investigate with integrity? Wouldn't he order them to write a report with integrity? And from what we've seen on the investigation, it did appear to be one of integrity -- they made no politicizing comments, they allowed no leaks, when the scandal on Strzok broke, he got cut, and in the final report they decided to not make an accusation they couldn't pursue with an indictment out of respect for Trump's due process rights. That is the all the sort of professional conduct that I would expect from an SCO, but Mueller as boss or figurehead delivered it (where so many other adjacent agency leaders have failed to do so). So Mueller comes with a reputation for integrity, presides over an investigation that has integrity, and delivers a report with integrity, but you're saying his credibility is nevertheless diminished because he doesn't have it memorized chapter and verse?

    Yawn... grounds for impeachment

    Nick Jack Pappas‏Verified account @Pappiness
Ted Lieu: The President met the requirements of Obstruction, yes? Mueller: Yes. Ted Lieu: The only reason you did not indict the President was because of the opinion that you can not indict a sitting President, correct? Mueller: Correct. This is everything. #MuellerHearing

Biggest nothing burger ever. Prosecutors don't exonerate or not exonerate; they indict or not indict. D.C. politics and the Law are not even friends.

Mueller: "I'm going to pass on that [question.]"

Yes, I would expect that. But if he wasn't steeped in the process then we are betting that those he hired didn't come in with biases. It is easy to say that people can just do their jobs and overcome bias, but tons of jury research says differently. Doesn't mean they don't have integrity. There are posters here who disagree vehemently and who honestly look at the same facts through very different lenses. People's views are impacted by their existing beliefs.

And folks can (and do) obviously disagree, but I think if you take on such an important job and put your name to it, you better know what is in your report. Not verbatim, but the impt facts and conclusions.

He did correct himself. He didn't say that was untrue. He said they didn't make a determination about this president after he leaves the office.
