    He does not really want to come off the bench, does not want to see himself as a role player.

    He does not want to see his touches and shot attempts diminished.

    Hates Defense. Wat else?

    Such a waste of good talent, he could put good team over the top, if he embraced a diminished role, came off the bench, or put just a little more effort on defense.

    He can't fit into any good teams system, while he makes bad teams, slightly more mediocre, which either hurts that chances at tanking or hurts team chemistry building for young squad. I hate to say this, but he might be part of the reason that young players couldn't flourish with the Knicks.

    He would still get paid in Europe and especially in China.

    He doesn't have to worry except he can't see his son and his illegit daughter that much playing overseas.

    I cannot fault him to much, taking the money never hurts. People are going to be unhappy, if you break team with max deal or taking a discount to go to a contender.

    Remember when Melo joined Denver and turned that franchise around? Yeah. Nobody does. It happened. But none of us can even remember it anymore. What a waste of a career.

    He didn't join Denver, as far as I can recall, he was drafted by the Nuggets.
