I would push back on the "Morey being washed" narrative. He was given a directive last year to get under the luxury tax. How he pulled this off without giving up even more assets was amazing. Early season misses aside, his February maneuvering to get under the tax was probably more impressive than the work he did the year before when he earned the Executive of the Year award.
