It's funny cause this is exactly how some posters on this board view Harden as well. Maybe its a match made in heaven with those two.

Oklahoma City Is trading F Jerami Grant to Denver for a 2020 first-round pick, league sources tell ESPN. Deal brings OKC it’s sixth future first in past week and saves Thunder $39M in salary and luxury tax. - @wojespn

    they clearing space? or rebooting?

I think this one trade (e.g. without taking salaries back) just got OKC under the luxury tax threshold. Their team is still relatively competitive if all are healthy:

    Adams
    Gallinari
    Roberson
    Westbrook
    Gilgeous-Alexander

    42 win team? lol

Next goal would be getting rid of Steven Adams after Westbrook.

Good get by Denver....while all other teams are improving their roster (except OKC), Rockets doing nothing.........is there any other team in the history of NBA that did both nothing at the draft peak and nothing at free agency ( signing 1 or 2 of own free agents do not count)?

I think we signed some even smaller and undersized players, making it Super Midget small ball.

Why do I sense a Russell Westbrook to Detroit for expirings (Reggie Jackson, Langston Galloway, etc.) happening?

Drummond, Blake, Russell aka Motor City Big 3

    lol

First: UGHH.... I do NOT want Westbook on this team. Puke.

Second: My intuition here is there are several things driving the Rockets decision making to even engage on a Westbrook deal:

    1. Harden's relationship with Westbook - given the nature of how stars are pushing their weight around, this gives the Rockets a chance to show Harden they care about what he wants, and values his opinion on who he teams up with. Harden NOT requesting a trade in the next two seasons is key to the Rockets moving forward. They might or might not have to trade Harden, but they cannot give Harden any reasons to blindside them early if he's offended that the front office doesn't value his opinion on bringing in his buddy.

    2. Drive up the price for Westbrook if he's going somewhere West.

    3. Get included in 3 team or 4 team deals where they could benefit in snagging a good player that has to be involved for salary reasons.

Miami makes the most sense - good combo of up and comers (Bam, Winslow, and Herro) and expirings (Dragic).

Miami ain't happening because they have no picks left. Hell Presti/OKC already owns their picks.

Pistons is my pick because they still have all of their 1sts and they have enough expiring contracts (Reggie Jackson reunion!) to make it work. Drummond, Blake and Westbrook ain't an elite pair but that should get them somewhere in the 5-6 seed in the East?

Timberwolves could send Teague, Covington and a bunch of picks to form a weirdass Big 3 in KAT, Wiggins and Westbrook.
