Time for a temperature reading of CF. Lots of different opinions and feelings now that moves have been made. What do you think the rockets should do?

Shoot my bad, didn’t see the poll in the other “strategy” thread. This one has a few more options but feel free to delete if redundant

Covington is a whole different stratosphere from Iggy at this point. 8 years younger and a very good shooter.

Rockets should stop being arrogant and making public statements like "fireworks", "favorites to land Jimmy Butler", "favorites to win the West" and just go about their business quietly behind the scenes

Shut up and do your job. We don't care how witty you are on twitter. We don't care that you tried to get everyone player that was available and let us know that you failed in doing so. We only care about winning. Whatever it takes.

Has to trade Paul/4 picks to improve, nothing else works.

I’d fully agree but that knee is suspect until I see him play

Looking to see if OKC and/or Raps are willing to trade some of their role players. Not that the Rockets have a lot to trade player wise, but there are ways.

We had the opportunity to trade Capela for a shot creating wing and replace him with any number of centers...

But that time may have passed.

Honestly I wouldnt mind trying to get Marc Gasol there. Guy has really developed his range.

Pretty sure hes on the last year of his deal though so probably not likely.

For me it’s Worth the risk of 1 first rounder. In no scenario is an Iggy who should be bought out worth that.

I agree there....wouldn’t give up a 1st for Iggy. But I’d take him for a couple 2nds. Wish we knew more about RoCo’s Recovery

Came back to ClutchFans just now to see the wailing and gnashing of teeth over the Boogie signing.

Gotta say, I'm disappointed in you lot. Time to get your whine on, brothers!

Then again, there's always the hope of a "Boogie goes to Lakers!!!!!!!" thread popping up a few hours from now.

I'd be happy with a modest upgrade - preferably a full size pf... but Iggy or Covington would also be an upgrade - and MDA would play them... never hurts to add talent...
I just want some bulk up front... CC gets outmuscled and PJ is playing undersized at pf - fine for periods but dude is getting old and cant have bigger pfs beating on him all night...

Soft rebuild. Trade all except Harden, or all except Harden and Capela.

Why not both? Trade EG and/or Capela for a borderline star AND do the Shump for Iggy/Covington options.

Just my guess, Wolves wanted Russell badly, the rumor about the Warriors getting D.Lo just to trade him later for a better fit has been out there since they signed him so, considering they also moved Iggy, putting all things together, i wouldn't be shocked if they already have a deal in place for a Russell/Covignton swap as soon as Russell can be traded, Covington would literally fit like a glove in Iggy's place.

Turn back the clock and pound some knowledge into Morey's head.
