Lmao this part of Clutchfans is like a ghost town. Morey Always trades his picks. Anyway. Here is 17 Y/o LaMelo Ball at the Rico Hines scrimmage. he's really impressive to me, still a poor shot selection but his passing impressed me. He's been playing Pros since his dad took him out of UCLA and it looks like it helped. Here is him along with Trae Young LaMelo Ball vs Trae Young at Rico Hines Private Run
I've seen him listed 6'6 to 6'8. He seems to be a better shooter than his brother (though still a weird style), but has some of the same court vision and athleticism. Based on that alone, he "should" be better than his brother. However, based on the Ball reputation, hard to say where he might be drafted... late lottery/late first round? Here's a decent thread from reddit:
His dad alone could wreck his career.....so I am not getting any hopes up. You can't fire your dad or not see him.
I've been high on his potential since I saw his him and his brother play high school ball when LaMelo was a freshman. He's got superstar potential.
Mike Schmitz is saying LaMelo is the most talented prospect in the draft... Meanwhile his Australian team is dead last with 1 win and 7 losses in a league that's not even top10 in the world. At LaMelo's age, Doncic won the title and was the MVP of the best league outside the NBA. How is it that LaMelo is being considered the most talented player in the draft, and yet I remember Doncic being constantly marginalized by the American media leading up to the draft?
