    I don't understand Atlanta.

    they essentially gave away Bazemore in a swap and now are taking on CP in a swap.

    What's the benefit here?

    The only benefit I can think of is that they want to function as dumpsters with their 14 mil capspace and wanted to open roster spots.

    Amazingly they wanted a lot from the Rockets last year to get Bazemore and they ended up moving him for a worse player and no pick.

    Meanwhile, has Parsons returned from his adventure on what I assume was a rented yacht off of Ibiza, partying with Blake Griffin and a bunch of grade B “hot chicks?” It’s been posted here before, somewhere. Maybe Atlanta thinks he’ll improve their international “image.”

    The Hawks are building around young players, but are open to giving Parsons an opportunity to earn a role in his final year under contract. If another team shows interest in signing him, a contract buyout always remains a possibility.

    The Grizzlies and Parsons mutually wanted to move on, but Memphis was not willing to give Parsons a buyout unless he gave the franchise a significant discount, sources said.

    I don't blame him for not taking a buyout. Chances are he never gets a real contract again. No way I'd give up millions if I were him.
