Good. Now let's see where they will trade him to, before Rich Paul starts asking out.

They're gambling and paying for potential, because he sure as **** isn't worth that money as of right now.

    What do you mean?
Philly had no alternative at this point. Otherwise they should have traded him before now.

i agree with @malakas; if the Sixers are truly going for it all the next couple of seasons and just looking at Horford and Harris' contracts that is probably the case. If the Sixers don't win it all then I'm sure Rich Paul will demand Elton to trade Simmons to somewhere warmer on the west coast.

Either way, maxing out a player that has no perimeter scoring talent and do not have any inclination to get better at it is....interesting. Sure you can build a team of shooter/scrorers around him but what happens when one of those guys you depend on goes down with an injury?

Yes, theoretically he has superstar potential, but there's close to 0% chance he's ever gonna reach it when even Giannis is a far superior shooter than him.

The Sixers have locked up over $600 million in contracts.:eek:

    $147,710,050 -- Embiid
    $180,000,000 -- Harris
    $168,000,000 -- Simmons
    $109,000,000 -- Horford
    $604,710,050

... And I thought the Hamptons 5 Warriors looked expensive.

Philly wasted all of Hinkie's work for a bloated salary cap.

The Process is DEAD. Rest in Peace.

He makes Giannis look like Steph Curry.

It'll be the summer before the 2021-2022 season when they've failed to reach the Finals two years in a row because Horford's decline came alarmingly fast, Harris can't elevate his game than what it already is and Embiid misses 10-20 games a year.

    0% chance?

jason kidd was never a good shooter when he first came in the league....you can't teach height or athletiscm...they can learn to shoot.
