That’s not what Morey would do. He would trade any picks to put together a package for a veteran. His ‘win now’ mode is keeping the Rockets from hitting the lottery level but it will never be enough to win a championship with so little leftover salary to sign other quality starters and depth.

I hope I’m wrong but it’s hard to imagine this team winning a championship with a declining injury prone CP3 even if we sign Butler. Adding one more good players means we’ll have nothing to sign anyone else. Again, I hope I’m wrong. Then only way I see getting past GS and LA is to sign a quality wing without trading away Tuck and Gordon.

Except... Morey said something a long the lines of being in favor of tanking but was given a directive by Les not to.

Probably because Les k we he wanted to sell the team.

You are a DUMBASS. Harden signed the extension. He has NO leverage. He is not going anywhere.

I think this view is overrated. We shouldnt have superstars request trades when they still have a full contract to play out. It shouldnt seem normal or even looked forward to. If you have a year left and know you are gong to leave then so be it. You cant just sign a extension and want out. Why even sign it? This logic is so stupid. Nor should the Rockets have to agree to trade him if he does something silly like this, not until we decide whats best for the organization and maximize his value. Plus Harden and Paul work with Morey on trying to get the players they want.

This hypothetical scenario dont even make sense.

As an MVP, Harden has never experienced the courtship of Free Agency. I'm sure that would be an appealing process to be part of.

The OP's busy seeking attention. He's likely not getting the kind of attention he hoped for.

Yep. I wouldnt be surprised if Harden wants out after this summer especially if Lakers sign a 3rd star (they are able to now since they cleared cap)

And Woj reported today that KD and Kawhi want to play together and I trust Woj more than any other reporter, even if he has his own bias.

Now that the Warriors dyansty is over, every other team in the West is getting better. Jazz got Conley and even Portland improved.
