I love how this information was buried in O'Connor's article about the Conley trade though. This by itself is an attention-grabbing headline.

Well, Morey said he isn't trading CP now. Probably because he couldn't get any takers when he said everyone except Harden was available.

Nah, he'd be a great fit for a team like the Pacers.

I guess you cannot be fully upfront if you work for a pro organization and a contender.

There are such things as tampering..........

Funny that he still finds a way to give interviews left and right.

Who’s to know when these calls were made....

I believe a lot changed once the Warriors had their injuries happen

Agreed. To me, this is probably accurate:

LOL, because he is an overpriced fragile player who is bound to miss 20 games or more next season. Gordon outscored him all year, and he is definitely worth way more than a third of Paul's ridiculous salary. Gordon is definitely the one I really don't want to see traded.

I disagree. Morey is one of the more genuine GM's IMO. Morey did say everyone except Harden was available early in the summer. That caught everyone off guard on Clutchfans. He was obviously preparing us in the event that CP3 was moved.

    Well, then disagree.

I said fully upfront. He can't tell names of target players, and as he said he can't say another player on another team is the GOAT.

He admitted that himself on that radio show.

Of course he is going to lie, if the owner and boss tells him to lie to the public.......everyone in his position would.

Personally I think Harden and CP can still work even with CP's decline and lack of Hamstrings. That would require Harden to change his game just a bit. We all know Harden isn't about to do that. Even if Harden doesn't change, I still think they can work now that GSW is injured.

    @ me your displeasure.

So why start another thread highlighting it?

If we are really focued on butler , I think it has to be the opt in and trade route .

Why get butler and lose Gordon/ Clint AND Paul

Vs keeping CP3 and doing the trade

If Jimmy wants to come here but only for the max as a FA , idk if it's worth it to move heaven and earth to do it .

Sure he's younger , taller , and probably better than Paul right now . But he's had his own question marks and isnt thaaaat much younger .

"Fully upfront" means tampering. Of course he can't say these things. How upfront do you want? Do you expect a seat at the table for the Clutchfans delegation?

If he opts-in, you don't to trade Paul, Clint and EG. Likely only EG and Clint with Clint likely going to a third team in the deal.

If Butler opts in, the Rockets only have to give up one of Gordon or Capela, not both. The only way they would have to move both is if it was a S&T for Butler at the max.
