I would be fine with moving CP3 as well I just don’t know what we would get back for him that would be of use to us. Would it make our team better this year if we were to move CP3? I really don’t think so.
Wow dude, great find, i didn't really remember exactly what he said and it's actually worse than i expected...seems like a nice/fair journalist
The # of "star" quality players that has moved over the last 5 years via trade, or via trade and FA... is INSANE. It's not even worth listing. And if you're not LA/NY, there are other ways to get those players. For one, they don't all go to LA/NY. For two, DM is or was the asset collector master. You use those assets to get players. DMs job is to win a ring... or at least that's his job to me.
People are coming in late who are reading the headline for the first time. They have no Idea CP3 responded. Someone should make a separate post saying he responded since it is already buried in here.
-- I don't think I understand the suggestion. Does "let him walk" mean we pay for the difference between what we signed him for and what the other team will be willing to pay? So if the Clippers, for example, agree to take him back for $25M a year, are we obligated to pay him the additional $15M a year? And if so, why? Why would that burden fall on us when both parties are equally at fault. I could agree with you if Paul can find a partner willing to take on his total salary (or, more likely, make a trade with us worth his full salary in value). Then I'd "let him walk." But if he can't, there is no sympathy. And I disagree that we have put him out there in the media. I think he is just as responsible for his name being out there as we are.
Yooo what the fk is going onnnn!? Signed off for a bit now it’s defcon 5. Why these reporters trying to paint these guys as catty? I hope one of them comes out quick with a direct comment or response.
Hindsight is 20/20 but if we had not made the trade for CP3 to begin with we would still have Montrez/Bev/Decker/Lou Williams/ and no telling who else with the draft picks we gave away.
