best they can probably hope for is a Kyrie-Butler or Kyrie-Tobias Harris summer

good enough to be a 3 seed at best in the EC if Kawhi leaves Toronto

I know Kyrie is only 27 but it seems like that dude is going on 50. Do they get a 25% discount when he ends up missing a quarter of the season like usual?

I wish they went a different direction other than Kyrie. He’s just so damn perma-emo. They should max out D’Angelo over Kyrie.

If I were a 22-28 years old player (15th to 40th best players), my target is always Nets.

My career needs $200 million dollars, don't need championship.

Clippers now are targeting 3 players only: KD, Kawhi and Davis.

    Wonder who's gonna join him.

    Irving
    Dinwiddie
    LeVert
    Prince
    Allen

+ additional max contract, nice young team as is though.

He is already regressing as a player. I get it, he is a star because of LBJ and he can shoot and has a really good handle. However is a terrible defender, mediocre distributor and there is no way in hell he is going to bring the style or effort their coach expects. He is going to do what he wants to do... a lot like other past free agent signings like Steph Marbury, Deron Williams (trade), Carmelo (trade) and Amare signing.

I see the Nets are going back to their stupid ways.

Man, they were this close to getting out of purgatory and then to drop the axe on your own foot. Ughhh!

Kyrie as a superstar is a mirage much like the flat-earth mirage he peddles.

Nets are better off building on the current good vibes they have with the nucleus of Russell, Dinwiddie, and Kurucs. Just let that group develop and find the right role-players to fit your needs with all the cap space you have created. There is absolutely no need to go "all-in" on this fake superstar.

This is exactly how the Nets ended up where they were 5 years.

That’s it l, it’s just dlo and Kyrie

    Kyrie/ Dinwiddie
    Russell/ JOE HARRIS
    Prince/ Levert/ KURUCS
    RONDAE HOLLIS/Dudley
    Allen/

Kyrie to Brooklyn is like Dwight signing with 2013 Rockets

Also I think if Kawhi leaves this team can be as high as 2 next year

Dlo can be down but BKN can chase bigger fish, like Durant, Butler or Thompson, or they can even try to wait till next year the AD sweepstakes. Or BKN may not be willing to give Dlo what other teams offer, I don't view Dlo as a sure-fire perennial all-star just yet, and would be hesitant on giving him a max considering they'd be bringing on Irving.

I'd trade Kyrie straight up for CP3 right now
