That’s a good point. To me ultimately I think the Pats pitched Caserio on status quo, he rejected and now they’re stalling.
http://www.sloansportsconference.com/content/future-of-the-front-office/ Interesting panelists this year.
This **** is hilarious but the main idea is Nick wants the job and the pats know he's ****ing good, go Cal!!
Right but again they can’t promote him against his will. Can’t just give him a new contract that he doesn’t sign. They may have offered and he said no
True, although I have the feeling they didn’t offer him the same role, thus why I think the indication is that he’s taking the job here. All I know is this has gotten messy.
Or it could just be that the Patriots are being the Patriots. If they have any evidence, they should do this even if they don't care if he gets the job. Upside, an AFC team loses a draft pick. Downside for them? Nothing.
Keep in mind they don’t have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that there was tampering. Standard is “more likely than not”
It was a player in that case and yes they still signed him. It as different though. It wasn’t a team complaining it was the league saying they initiated contact too early
What if the Patriots are still mad Easterby left for the #Texans? Now they have a chance losing Caserio too? This entire tampering allegation issue could easily be the fact one of their own in Easterby is now working to help find a new GM for the Texans. — patrick (@PatDStat) June 12, 2019 Patriots are doing anything they can to get something for Caserio if he ends up bolting for the #Texans. The fact there has not be a clear cut no since the request, a title change for Caserio and now tampering charges shows the signs of Caserio interested in Houston. — patrick (@PatDStat) June 12, 2019
Some dumb conspiracy theory against the Texans. Like the media blew easterby up to help drum up this tampering charge
Pats weren’t going to sit and watch a conference rival poach 2 execs. Just hope the league doesn’t drag this thing out.
Texans have a room full of idiots running this franchise. No wonder they are so happy being mediocre.
