I like that Jimmy Butler is a two way player, but I do believe Brandon Ingram is a rising star. Maybe a year with Lebron teaches him something and he progresses. I do believe he is the future of the NBA and can be one of the best 2 way players in the league. Just my opinion.

Jimmy has only 1 year left on contract. People don't want to pay 2nd tier star max contracts.

Jimmy only has more value if you're going all in for 1 year and saying screw the future and that's what Thib wants. Live for today, not the future

Jimmy is in his prime and his style of play (most likely) means it won't fall off by the time he's 33-34, when the max contract expires.

At this point, you still don't know where Ingram's ceiling is.

Butler is by far the better player, BUT Ingram's ceiling maybe Antetokounmpo or poor man's Kevin Durant. Ingram is only in 20 yo and no type of locker room baggage.

    For me it's situational

If I'm a contending team Butler has much more value.

If I'm rebuilding then I'd take Ingram every day of the week.

the question of the poll was : Which one would you want to help you win and get maximum value out of?

Considering Butler is a top 15 player while Ingram at best is top 80, he has both more trade value and helps you win much more.
Ingram may be 20 but he's now on his third year and he can't shoot, doesn't play defence, hasn't developed his body.
In short he has not developed one single skill that can make him a star and his overall game right now instead of helps you win ,it helps you lose.

I rather have the star that is a lockeroom cancer and expires, than the 1 in 1 million chance to become a 3rd banana star ,toothpick of a player.
And this shouldn't even be a debate imo.

Well, after this season, I have to thoroughly say Jimmy Butler. Ingram regressed a little.

Agree, Ingram has regressed due to injury. He is not going to be 100%
