Also Randle and Zion have a similar skill set at the same position with Zion having ridiculously more upside. So Randle will likely be moved regardless.

Harden has scored more points consistently. He has not been all-around better than AD. And with the age difference, taking that trade is a no-brainer - enough so that NO isn't going to be offering that.

 

This is why it was better to be the fourth seed in the third or second going to lose anyways might as well lose in the second round more Embarrassing leads to the actual changes that are needed

Morey is angling for a AD trade with no guarantee from ad like Toronto got with Kawhi.

You can have literally anything for AD outside or Harden.

U want our picks unprotected for the next 6 years plus Gordon and Clint u do it.

Gordon is an expiring contract who can help them with spacing and keep them competitive paired with holiday.

Clint would fit nice next to Zion while Zion is on his rookie contract. Once Zion would need to be paid Clint is off the books.

Honestly I think the pelicans could make the playoffs next year with holiday Gordon ? Zion and Clint.

That’s what they want to do. Develop Zion and still win.

It would be a tough sell for the pelicans but I do think it’s def something they would entertain plus they get potentially 4 unprotected first round picks over the next 8 years.

It would be interesting to see if this is something the pelicans would maybe even listen to. I think they would.

 

Yeah, we would've to trade Chris and Clint/Eric for that. You could still do something like this on paper:

- trade Chris and Clint for picks and a rookie scale contract (or more depending on the salary)
- sign a max free agent (let's say Butler)
- sign a player to a 8/10M contract (JaMaychal Green?)
- sign a player with the no tax MLE or split that in two (DeAndre and/or Rivers?)

On paper you could come up with something like:

DeAndre
JaMaychal Green (assuming he's leaving L.A and i don't think he is)
PJ
Butler
Harden

Hartenstein
Clark
House
Gordon
Rivers

Plus eventual picks/player/s you would get by moving Chris and Clint.

 

What would Morey do to rebuild if he's not held back by Les's no tanking policy.....

 

Not sure what point you're trying to make. That trade analysis shows no impact on Houston's record, and NO gets slightly worse. Doesn't that indicate that Davis is slightly more valuable?
