I like this subtle ironic jab thrown in at the end of the Chron article about today's "letting gos":

"The Rockets have gone 173-73 in the past three seasons, the best record in any three-year period in franchise history."

Weird and convoluted rumor. I've started getting extra wary of anyone who says "my sources".

LOL... everybody clamoring for a coaching change aren't talking about assistants and the lower rung guys... smh..

although really, based on how the defense performed before Bzdelik's return... the defensive side prob shoulda been cut regardless...

    Daryl's nerd robot.

Daryl's fat ass should get down there & coach. I mean, he's already "coaching" from above.

Not a fan of the staff getting scapegoated whenever the reason we got smoked was because we are too dependent on Harden.

    But whatever floats their boat.

the funny part is... theoretically... if DM isnt an MDA fan... what does that say about all the MDA lovers who insist that those of who want him kicked to the curb dont know what were talking about - if DM is of the same opinion...

    jus sayin...

    ;) lol

Hopefully the staff change indicates a change of style.

I wonder if Tilman is trying to convince Dan Tony to quit by firing his entire staff. This way, he doesn't have to pay Dan Tony-- which he does if Dan Tony gets fired.

FWIW, this makes no sense. The assistants they are firing aren't D'Antoni's guys, they are the defensive guys and Harden's guy.

All of D'Antoni's offensive assistants are staying.

I could totally believe that Morey isn't sold on keeping D'Antoni. Remember, he wanted JVG Les said no. Then he wanted Silas and Les wanted D'Antoni. Prior to that the coaches he's really wanted to hire were Budenholzer (wasn't ready to leave San Antonio at the time) and Lawrence Frank. Morey has never gotten to fully pick a coach.

    cover something up....
like the fact that we have no plan beyond chuck as many 3s as possible and hope they go in... while letting James do whatever he wants whenever he wants...

    Lmao

I fee so bad for Morey. He’s going to see the Harden era through mostly likely, but after that? Dude is 100% gone.
