You are not "do whatever it takes". You are giving up on Gordon.
Gordon is going to be a better player than Paul next 3 seasons.
    no Gordon = no Championships

Dudes said the same **** last off season.... and what happened?
They let Ariza walk and replaced him with league minimum guys and NBA scrubs.

    But Tilman's right though.....
He does spend money on things other owners don't spend on.
Other owners spend money on the actual team.
Tillman spends money on planes, food, entertainment.
**** that.... Capela's Soft ass should flying Southwest.

With this kind of approach by owner and GM, this team won't have championship anytime soon.

I trust him on his word here. But his tragic flaw has been that he gets laser focused like he did with loyalty and Applewhite. As long as you learn from it, I'm good. The only real concern I have is that his expectations each year may be too excessive. If he demands 55 wins and we fall short, that doesn't mean it was reasonable. It isn't necessary to wax the team for it. So as long as he is realistic. D'Antoni doesn't seem like a good fit for him as he appears laid back.

Sell the team to someone who can afford it.

I am really concerned about the age.........

I cannot agree with an owner who does not take developing players into stars seriously.

The Rockets’ owner strongly pushed back against the idea that he directed the team to get out of luxury-tax territory in 2018/19, calling it an “accident".

Many people did not know it is accident. You are one of them.
Tilman has never said he wanted to save the luxury tax.

Fertitta said. If we can make our team better coaching-wise, we’ll make our team better.”

tbh, luxury tax is usually for teams to keep their championship team together, so I don't blame the owner on avoiding it.

He sounds like the stereotypical "ignorant new team owner blinded by his own hubris (and probably full of ****)"

You don't believe this is the Championship team after Durant is injured?
Thunder pays $61 million tax this year. Some teams paid luxury tax and played the lotto a few years ago.

Why weren't the starting five from Rockets best regular season returned last season?

He is a very demanding person to work for. He works hard himself and expects others to work hard. He will monetarily pay his management very well if they work hard though.

I have done some legal work for him years ago. He insisted on having access to me 24 hours a day and wanted it done his way... but he paid well, was nice and sent me hand signed Christmas letters and perks for years.

If the Rockets can get Butler, TF will okay it... he did during the season.
