House always plays good in regular season games and $hits in playoffs.
    Shumpert plays better in playoffs.

They should both only be signed if we can't get anyone better. Neither are starter material or even good bench players yet. They are nineth or tenth players

Low ball the hell out of house and make him pay for his antics during the season. Guy showed his true colors in the playoffs.

Shump will be gone this year I’m sure

Shumpert can be useful in a sign & trade i guess, if that's the case you pay him as much as needed and trade him, otherwise you just don't pay him.

As for House i don't know if i would pay him more than the minimum and around 3M per season, maybe only if there's literally no one you can get with the MLE.

Shumpert would probably end up very solid on this team if he had one whole season in the system, getting more 3s up, and being more familiar with our switching system.

He showed he could shoot in the 2nd half of that Warriors series, but his inability to switch consistently burned us at times. But no matter what he stayed mentally strong and kept shooting and playing hard regardless of what happened, we need that.

As for D-House, he gets minimum cuz he melted in the playoffs, no reason to believe he is anything more than a regular season scrub.

He needs a full training camp and reg season, I think you underestimate the level communication needed to properly execute the Rockets' defensive switching scheme.

Also needs to be more willing to shoot, but I think all players that come to the Rockets improve their shooting and tendencies over time.

I really couldn't fault house. If I'm nor mistaken house hit his first three point attempt game 1 against Utah first round.

House went undrafted so for me, the defense was good and buckets are a bonus.

Rivers at 1 million was disappointment but I'm not surprised with rivers.

Shumpert might be a plus performing fresh off injury.

House did his thing in Utah and got into double figures game 1 to set a tone in the blow out win. House chipped in 7 points in a elimination game.

MDA trimmed the rotation to six and seven for the warriors.

Can we sign Shump and House without dipping into MLE?

They are decent for sure. I wouldn't say houses defense is good, it's serviceable, decent....shumpert age and injury history has brought him to his peak, he ain't getting better we need better players than that versus the warriors

I'm tired of seeing balls headed to Shumpert either from passes or loose and proceeding to bounce off his hands. He needs to contact Dwight Howard and find out what kind of stickem he uses.

The only bright spot to the season for me was the belief I'd never have to see Shumpert again in a Rockets uniform. However, looking at the cap situation and potential contracts that we can realistically give I'm concerned Morey might fall sucker to sign him again which is a shame because I really like Morey.

Shumpert is the poor mans small forward version of Omar Asik.
