Good job going for Iman Shumpert instead, Morey

Whole world knew you needed a big man, but you wanted to out mediocre SF the warriors

Hasn't worked for the past 5 years, won't work for the next 5

can't play kanter... except you can.

Can't knock morey for trying shumpert.

Morey did right by House too.

Gerald Greene and Gordon can be shown the door just as easily as letting world champ ariza hit open market.

Could get rj Barrett draft rights for Gordon and maybe get derrick rose with money James Ennis freed up?

He's been trying 100's of shumperts and all of em failed. Would be great if you could get Butler, but no one cares about late 1st rounders. That's why he needed an efficient scorer or defensive specialist. Capela was neither against the Warriors, but people thought he was the only big man you needed. Or that Faried was enough.

To be fair Shumpert was basically the net result of shedding Ryan Anderson's contract.

Late first rounders and second rounders are not bad.

Jokic was a second rounder and jokic probably the best big outside of Draymond greene this post season.

If rockets got derrick rose then Gordon could go because rose had just as many 20 plus games in last year first round against rockets as did Gordon for us currently.

For me if ariza was expendable then anybody can go including Gordon.

I didn't know we had a JV free for trading for Gasol

Morey thinks his Capela boy is ENOUGH!

His Capela boy is close to NBA best center.
His yellow hair is shining like gold....so beautiful....

Got to give it to Kanter.

Man honestly Kanter has got to be loving this.

Just 2-3 months ago he wasn't getting any minutes on the Knicks and everyone was going on about how overrated he was. Could score but his defence made him unplayable.

He gets waived by the knicks nobody wants him(even his former team) except Blazers as their backup C.

Nurkic goes down everyone writes off the Blazers. Kanter starts and helps get them to a conference finals.

When Kanter left OKC he told them to "beat the Warriors" now he has a chance to do it himself.

It's going to be interesting though I didn't think he would be able to stay on the court in the playoffs he's proven me wrong. Now he goes up against Curry and Klay no tougher task.

There was no way we could’ve gotten Gasol. I could be wrong but I remember hearing the Grizz GM did Gasol a solid for everything he did in Memphis by trading him to Toronto. Raptors had a package good enough and that’s where Marc wanted to go.

Blazers totally lucked out with Kanter and Kanter totally lucked out by choosing the right team. He’s gonna get PAID this offseason (again).

Can’t win them all but Rivers and Faried were great for us. Still baffled/salty Faried didn’t get more run in the playoffs.

This is not on Morey and just stupid, we had no chance at either one and Kanter would not have gotten playing time from MDA anyway so don't get it twisted.

I remember saying the idea of "getting a true center like Enes Later" was ridiculed by Clutchfans at the time.

They were never coming here. We had a starting center, a backup center, and a 4 we picked up off waivers who played minutes at the 5.

Except the main purpose of the Shumpert TRADE (not vet min signing like Kanter) was to dump salary. Mission accomplished.

It's going to be fun revisiting this after they can't play Kanter against the Warriors. Or they do and they get toasted.

How have they been working out against competition that matters?

Don't blame Morey, Kanter and Gasol would have been doing the same thing Shumpert was doing in the 4th quarter of game 6........sitting on the bench. Faried gave us great minutes in the season but didn't log a single one against GSW. That ain't Morey's fault.

This is so weird, it’s like the team you’re playing actually matters.
