it looks ridiculous and we will see it all playoffs. nothing can stop him so you have to take what you can get as a defender. if defending his left arm slows him down at all you have to do it.

It’s funny how the leaving Rubio on Harden for the entire game terrifies the Jazz.

I'm surprised Royce has not started in place of Rubio.

    No, seriously.

With Harden all the way in the corner and Rubio in between him and the basket, can someone explain to me why he decided to go around Harden and behind him, while planting himself in the corner?

    LOL!

If he wanted to give Harden a free lane to the basket, might as well leave him and head towards the paint to at least help on someone else or gran a rebound.

By doing what he did, he literally took himself out of every possible play.

He might as well had started running to the opposing basket for a possible fast break layup.

Shading the player on one side is one thing. That was by far the most moronic thing I have ever watched on a NBA court.

He did this because he knew that harden wouldn't take the midrange. And they were right for the most part. At some point you have to take that shot (floater, pull up etc) to keep them on their toes.

There is something kind of brilliant about it. It looks ridiculous, but Harden was really hesitant to shoot the midrange jumper or attack Gobert/Favors under the basket.

This style of defense is giving capela wide open lobs and a whole lotta wide open 3 pointers (especially corner 3’s)

Harden is averaging 10+ assist on this series and like 6+ hockey assist. That’s why Harden was still +4 even with the poor shooting.

They’re doing everything they can to just stop harden but giving up open shots to everybody else and the role players are doing their job.

If Harden did his usual step-back from that position he would be out of bounds. That defensive move made no sense.

Harden did miss terribly on that play. I'ts the good old "force right" to the extreme and it has been effective in game 3. More and more teams are gonna defend Harden this way.

He was taking away that deepest of deep corner three...

Or literally trying to pick his pocket.
