When I watched the game last night you couldn't help but to say this team is DIRTY...and the Refee's fell for this mess..
I honestly don't see it at all. This is not the mid 90s Jazz. Sloan, Stockton, and Malone would have you on the forums creating threads everyday. It was extremely well known these guys were on another level. This is a different Jazz team, Donovan always looks out for the kids, Rudy cries on national TV cuz of his momma, Rubio finally solidified his spot in the NBA. They are much more tolerable. They didnt even try to intentionally foul with all of those drives last night, they just left the lane open. A dirty team would take a flagrant out of frustration if theres a layup drill going on. They don't have a single player that is known for being annoyingly physical or tries to play around (Pat Bev, Draymond, Lance Stephonson, entire OKC team).
I’m not sure how the Jazz were being dirty in game 1. They were committing fouls that the refs weren’t calling, but dirty? Nah, unless your threshold for what is considered dirty is quite low.
Breh, you gotta save these threads for when they're actually warranted or else credibility is kaput. Kirilenko and Harpring were dirty. Malone was dirtier. These current Euro softies ain't nothing. Mitchell is a good dude, Rubio is too scrubby, and Gobert is too soft to be dirty. Ingles even represses his Aussie-instincts and plays pretty clean (ahem, Andrew Bogut could learn something.) Maybe you were just triggered by Grayson Allen's face? I can see that.
The refs were dirtier, in my humble opinion. A lot dirtier. You would have to be blind not to see the fouls that were "missed" by those guys. This Jazz group seems more like an ordinary, run of the mill, average low seed playoff team to me. Of course, it's just game one.
