Really? Draft picks play for cheap but you could plug him in as the starting Rush End on maybe 15 teams and get 5 years out of him at a level of play of any Rusher you could pick outside maybe #10 or 11 this year. He just can't start as a rusher on the Texans.

If they knew they had a problem it would've already been addressed more thoroughly. I think they think they have a small problem. Reality says they have a big problem. Do with that what you will.

It probably has something to do with his contract as well. Rookie scale is very team friendly.

Or maybe they know they have a problem(s) and think the best way is to address it through the draft (which they've stated)? We can disagree with the method but how they approach the first two days of the draft will be very telling on how they view this roster IMO.

How did a 5 star recruit, starting for Alabama, coached by Saban fall to 15?

Little went to Ole Miss. But that is a huge drop nonetheless.

    His mock draft is
    13. Jonah Williams
    54. Amani Oruwariye, Cornerback, Penn State
    86. Isaiah Johnson, Cornerback, Houston
    161. Kaden Smith, Tight End, Stanford
    195. Jakobi Meyers, Wide Receiver, North Carolina State
    220. Demarcus Christmas, Defensive Tackle, Florida State

I usually am not a fan of trading up but this is not a bad draft. Another lineman would have been nice though.

I would rather have Dillard. But I really want Greedy too. I would give up a lot to get both. Also, if we are looking at WR later rounds, HUNTER RENFROW, I know he is basically Coutee, but Coutee might go down, and Watson liked him.. DT is another big position.

Dillard is the best Left Tackle but Jonah is the best overall tackle talent. He could play either position. And could even play guard. If we're looking strictly for a LT then Dillard is a better option. But remember the Texans only RT is coming off an injury and is on a one year contract. You can have Jonah play left this year and then move him to right next year if Henderson isn't retained.

The Texans need depth more than anything right now and they really didn't do anything significant in FA. No one knows how these players are going to turn out once they hit the league. IMHO, Jonah is not the type of player that you want to spend 2 picks to get. I could be wrong. I just think they would have a better go at it getting two players instead of one. Double their chances at striking gold.
There will still be good linemen left in the second round when we pick and they could get two of them if they wanted. Two good ones if they do their homework.

I don't disagree. But they can still come back to FA after the draft. Donald Penn and Jordan Mills are still available. Williams, Taylor, and Dillard (in whatever order) are much better prospects than the other tackles in this draft. They have less question marks. Jonah can play right or left. He is a mauler, gets after it, especially in the run game. I don't know if, for instance, Risner + Howard is better than just Jonah + UDFA. None of the 2nd or 3rd tier guys are close to Jonah as a tackle prospect. Missing out on them means you risk starting the season with Davenport at LT again.
