    don't ignore the issues....

look at their starters, look at our starters, bench vs. bench...

what are the defensive matchups going to be??? Scheme?? Switch everything? or drop the 5??

What are the Jazz going to throw at our defense?

    The best defense is offense.

that works for MDA during the regular season.

During the playoffs, gotta play both ends.

It's pretty simple: contain Ingles on the defensive end and go at Gobert on the offensive end. Mitchell can have whatever he wants as long as Ingles don't get into rhythm and Gobert stays off the court.

We should definitely completely abandon the defense that was top notch last year and finally rounded into good shape the last few months here with the right mix of players and coaching...

... because of the Utah Jazz. Lol.

Just like Kevin Mchale said, "Play harder. "
And of course hit our threes.

I think CP3 will be the key to this series.

They will do everything they can to limit Harden and they defend the 3pt line well as a team.

CP3 has killed them with his pull up 2pt jump shot before so wash...rinse...repeat.

Held them to a 101.4 offensive rating last year, after they had a 108.5 offensive rating against OKC in the first round.

I have no doubts the Rockets will ramp up their defensive intensity in the playoffs. We've seen it already the last few months. The question is whether they can do that and simultaneously hit their threes, especially in close fourth quarters.

    This is just bait.

Holic already has a paragraph typed out in word waiting to copy/paste it when someone posts something that he deems incorrect.

I don't know, but when you answer, it will have something to do with Capela not being good enough. Yawn.

"Don't ignore the issues..." You mean like Utah turning it over at such a high rate against our defense?

This is one of the most classic examples of making a team beat us on our regular defense.

Put me down as someone who is fine making Mitchell try to beat us. That means switch everything. Stop their passing and cutters ... equals, use our GSW defense against them.

They will force their movement, and we killed them in the TOV game last playoffs (and this year). It's just silly how easy it is to force them into turnovers. A lot like GSW, but with less talent.

Plus, it gives us the opportunity to practice our GSW defense. Utah is not special enough to beat our regular defense, because they also need to stop us....and somehow learn to stop turning the ball over against us at such a high rate.

They ain't going to win the Math game with 2s off of drives, once we stop their movement and open 3s, by flattening them...and Gobert has the worst hands in the league ... lulz if you think the Mitchell / Gobert vertical game is anywhere close to Harden. Don't project Harden's / Capela's ability onto Gobert.

We all know this thread is about Rubio and Capela.

    .........

And yet I cannot resist the temptation to reply to it. I'm miserable.

My Bad thought the ? was defeat them.

But truth be told we should probably be more concerned about their defense than how we're going to defend them.
