This... looks.. AWESOME! Absolutely love Clement, and whenever I see he's going to be in something, I know it's going to be a hoot. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Cv568AzZ-i8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Masturbate Cry myself to sleep Chew my nails Stuff my face with candy Oh, it's a movie not a thread topic.
I saw over 20 movies at SX Film. This was by far the best. Incredibly, laugh-out-loud, funny. Even the obvious jokes felt fresh. This movie may very well save the mockumentary format.
The TV show version of this film is now on FX. Haven't seen the film yet, but I've thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 episodes so far.
I love the movie, always will. And I can tell the TV show has all the same fingerprints, same writing, same jokes, many of the same people. Maybe it will grow on me more, but so far I have found myself *wanting* to laugh when I watch it, rather than just being carried along to laugh.. if that makes sense. In other words, I really really want to like this series, and I want it to be as hilarious as the movie, but so far, it's not there yet. Still early of course. My favorite gag so far is the 'Energy Vampire', which is brilliant. I am pulling for this show, please be great!
*Wilderpeople Add in Ragnarok and Waititi hasn't made a movie I haven't loved. His next film sounds slightly bonkers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jojo_Rabbit
Agreed. I've enjoyed the show so far as well. It's still looking for its groove but when it gets there, look out.
I really like the show...but it has soooooo much potential to be something beyond great. I hope they really turn it loose in the second season (since the first has pretty much been scripted out already). And I agree...Energy Vampire is ridiculously funny. I have a multitude of those in my office.
Last week's episode, Animal Control, was absolutely hilarious. This show is starting to pick up steam.
Incredibly funny episode this week. The Vampiric Council was genius. Wesley Snipes on Skype was golden! Saw an article that said the show was renewed for a second season. Dave Bautista and Tilda Swinton
