“It’s good that we’re able to do that,” Gordon said. “It shows we have a deep team and it can get other guys going. The only way we’re going to win a championship is if we can get our whole team going. We have to make things happen.”

“After a game off, I feel fresher, but we’ve been moving the ball a lot better,” Gordon said. “We’ve enhanced every aspect of the game since the All-Star break. “

“I’m good,” Shumpert said of his health. “As long as my body feel good, I’ve been through a couple playoff runs now so I know health is one of the biggest factors in everything. They’re just looking out for me, making sure I don’t overdo it. At times I’ve come back too early. I’ve been penalized for it.”

“I am getting into the swing of things. I feel like I’m able to attack the basket, take blows again. For a while, you got to be careful. I felt like I had to settle a lot. And getting my weight back down. I gained a little weight. I’m getting back into game shape. We’ll be fine. Just stay sharp, stay aggressive.”

MDA is a softie when it comes to this starters. He won't demand they rest.

I'm not sure if excusing them from practice is the answer either

Shouldn’t Shumpert talk about playing, before he talks about resting.

Can Shump just rest until we have 40 point leads in the 4th?

Shumpert is our defensive superstar, he should be rested.

EGo is the fun master, whatever keeps up the fun.

its more like he's not confident he can coach the team to win without his starters especially harden

Any player who gets time for "rest" should be forced to sit on the bench in onesie pajamas.

    For reals.

Shumpert could use 4-5 years of rest.

Let's look at the big picture.

Shumpert should go home to take rest. Shampert is really a garabage, really don't know why MDA try to start him and give him a lot of time. House in small forward plays really well. He got 9 points in power forward. I really hope Faried can play power forward

It appears the entire CF is still jaded.

We lost to the refs, folks... not the Grizzlies.

Shumpert is admitting he isn’t in shape given his injury. Let’s allow him to fully heal before passing judgement. It took Harden 2 months to round into shape before he found his groove.
