We are paying him 80+ million to get pushed around in the paint. We seriously should look at trading him in the summer

Decent and improving.... but I have to agree.

He's so soft in the when defending the paint. He's loses a lot of focus on the switch defense. His boxout game isn't great. Isn't that great of a finisher in the paint..... can't shoot the mid-range. Yeah, he's great at the alley-oop finishes, and he does get some key rebounds. But I just feel he doesn't offer enough for what we pay him for.

It's games like tonight that can make you very frustrated with Capela. He was a total weak ass out there and didn't play with much heart tonight. Don't know if he was tired or what but with Faried sitting out and Nene being old, Capela couldn't afford to be such a weak ass tonight.

Too much finesse for my liking.
Gets pushed around and almost never pushes or fights back.
    Soft NBA center

Not really. He's been so inconsistent with his rebounding and defense this season.

Is this your first day watching basketball, Clint isn't very strong, Jonas is probably one of the strongest centers in the league today, historically Clint has been pushed around by him it's not news.

In the playoffs It's going to be a problem against teams like Portland with Nurkic that plays very physical. That's why I don't want to play against OKC or Portland, that kinda of physicality really kills Capela's effectiveness.

Exactly! Every NBA Center pushes on rebounds. Clint is always jumping to tip the ball instead of battling for the board. He should be pushing and pulling like everyone else. The Refs will not call it every play.

i've been against keeping him going back since last season. he hasn't improved his skills (on either end of the floor) and has the softest p***y mentality

Y'all do realize that if we didn't have Capela, Morey would just replace him with a wirey, athletic , low IQ big like Marquiss Chriss right?

I judge Capela strictly by playoff performances now.

Meh he does struggle against bigger centers, but I also watched him out play Towns and Gobert in two straight playoff matches.

Stop it. It's not Clint's fault he gets out muscled by bigger players. He's our best option at center at this point. Get pissed at Morey if you need to throw a fit. But, it's hard to get an elite big man when we never get lotto picks.

It would probably help if we had a real power forward too. It seems we ask Clint to do all the rim protecting and rebounding. Maybe we could have played Capela and Faried together tonight if Faried had been healthy. Capela must feel like he's playing on a team full of little people.

Capela's problem isn't weight, strength, or the physical play...
    His problem is mentality.
It's like he doesn't want to elbow or hurt anyone. Doesn't want to step on anyone's toes sort of speak.
He's not throwing dudes out of bounce or pushing dudes to the floor.
He's trying to jump over them and compete with the least amount of contact.
    No excuses...
The team and coaching staff should challenge and call Capela out.
I remember Jeff Van Gundy calling Yao soft in the middle of games to his face.
Eventually Yao got the message and became a physical beast.
