    Per Jonathan Feigen of the Chronicle, in addition to extending Daryl Morey today, the team has picked up the option on Mike D'Antoni's contract and will seek to reach an extension with him this offseason.

    Timeout-only fans are said to be livid.

    when he first joined i thought he said he'd like to retire after 4yrs here. maybe the extension will only be thru harden's current contract?

    Great, as long as he's here with his system and style, players will want to play here. For good reason too, just look at the inflation of worth for Rivers, Faried and House. This is the system that will give guys and chance to show if they have it or not.

    He has lame duck status for next season. If your team and star players are comfortable with the coach, wouldn't you want to eliminate any potential stress/drama on the coaching front?
