Human beings paid upwards of 10k/seat to watch Zion play for 30 seconds and the Tarheels crush Duke at Cameron Indoor.
you expect this to happen to you when you wear some 1989 Jordan Breds that you thrifted not a recent pair of nikes.
I'm guessing that means MCL which is good news, but that would put his tournament in jeopardy. Hope for the best!
I was watching this game on mute, so I totally missed the shoe stuff. Was wondering why they kept zooming in on them under his chair....
If this isn't on every new Adidas marketing campaign when hyping up the new Harden's, Lillard's, Mitchell's shoe design, someone better get fired. #HisShoeBroke
This is brilliant - just show Obama's face in super slow-mo then cut to Zion grabbing his knee then ultrazoom on the destroyed shoe...[pause/black screen]...cut to Harden making all sorts crazy cuts ... ultrazoom to Adidas signature shoe (not exploding). $$$
This would be a brilliant marketing campaign. They should strike while the iron is hot! Also, they should use this to sign Zion
Only outwardly. NBA players have their shoes custom remodelled to fit their feet and needs, and I guess for someone like Zion his shoes were also custom made by Nike. Which actually makes it even worse. If a custom made shoe blows up like that, imagine the generic..
Update from ESPN -- doesn't sound good for a return this year... ______ Krzyzewski said Williamson wasn't close to playing in Saturday's 87-57 win over Miami, and that the freshman's combination of size and athleticism requires his knee to be fully healed before he tests it in a game situation. "There aren't people like him athletically," Krzyzewski said. "His body has always responded instinctively to what his mind and heart feel. We've seen it. You can't put him out there at any less than [100 percent]." Krzyzewski said Williamson "is moving around" but hasn't done any contact drills so far, a required step before returning to the court. Williamson was in a polo shirt and sweatpants for the game, standing with teammates during the shootaround, and offering chest bumps and applause on the sideline. "It's getting better," Krzyzewski said of the injury.
