It literally amazes me the ammount of people who want to see Harden fail. He truly is a unique player who can enforce his will in any giving game yet he constantly is being treated with disdain! I can understand some of the negativity from the likes of SAS/Kman/Simmons etc., they get paid to stir the pot! Regardless if what they are saying is totally bull crap, they get paid to stir the pot!! The negativity that comes from some posters who are “supposed” to be Houston Rockets fans is pathetic!! It is hypocritical that people on here complain about Simmons and then do the same thing about Westbrook stat padding. I think Hardens streak is incredible, but so is what Westbrook has done.

A high degree of difficulty record chase. 11 points in 90 seconds to both close the door on the game (first 5-6) and keep the record. This is not 4 Thunders boxing out an uncontested rebound. This is badassery. CHASING APPROVED - SF.
I'm with you here. If Westbrook has 30, 10, and 9 it's an incredible game. Why not get the extra rebound/assist and get the accolades for the game that it deserves. People are people and if it's not a full triple double, they'll judge it as being shy-of instead of a brilliant-almost. Only problem I have is when you're stat padding during a close game or the playoffs. The focus should be 100% about winning then.
The team will be more balanced when this ends, but I do get a kick out of watching him eek over the line and then trying to talk like it didn't mean anything after the game. DD
The only shot in the 4th quarter that was stat padding was that very last 3. And you could tell since we were up so much with a minute left and him and the crowd were elated when they knew he went above 30 points. I don't care but it was obvious haha. But 3 out of 11 points in the last few minutes were only stat padding so people can suck a D.
I agree. I almost quit watching the game when Harden took 6 or 7 3's in the 1st quarter and only hit one. But, come playoffs or meaningful games I will not be happy with him throwing up 17 3's when he is shooting bad and others are hot. Green and Paul both were hot from behind the arc last night. The hot shooting guys should be the ones taking 17 3's when it really matters most. I am happy for James in getting hot at the end and keeping his streak, but I hope he doesn't keep taking twice as many shots as the hot shooters when it matters most.
