When he’s engaged and focused, this is true. In Washington this season, that wasn’t the case because team chemistry was terrible.

    This is true.

    Besides Wes Mathews

Rivers and faried have been the best and most accomplished players bought out this year and they’ve both come in played a ton of minutes and really flourished here.

And a case can be made there actually better than Wes Mathews who’s older and been on decline since the Achilles tear a few seasons ago.

And tbh I think if we didn’t have rivers and iman he’d prob have signed here too.

Not sure if covered already in thread, but doesn't he have a transient, possibly recurring, cervical neurological disorder? As in, he might not walk again if he gets hit in the neck the wrong way?

Without that, he'd be an outstanding get, and would solve our, 'who do we stick next to Clint so P.J. doesn't have to play all game?' dilemma.

Do you give him 18 mins a game in the playoffs?

    Faried 10 at pf
    Tucker 20 at pf
    Tucker 15 at sf
    Shumpert 25 at sf

Which goes into detail about the condition. The 'mildest' of the cervical cord injuries, though the term "See also, "transient quadriplegia", is more than a little disconcerting. Sounds like an acute, nonrecurring injury (knock on wood).

In which case, grab him, if he'll come here for the minimum.

And then some. Won't he be our main 4? Or at least, he'll split duties with P.J.? Couldn't you run him at the 4, with P.J. at the 3 for some sets?

An interesting question is, does he take Faried's minutes spelling Clint at the 5?

According to La times, he is likely to play for Lakers if healthy.

Efficiency numbers down across the board this year, was it due to being on the Wizards or injury? Reminds me of Tucker actually, would be nice to have 2 enforcers at PF on this team. It's the only position we lack depth now with Faried soon to be backing up Capela.

    Capela/Faried
    Tucker/Markieff
    Shump/Green
    Harden/Gordon
    Paul/Rivers

I haven't watched Markieff a ton, but I'd be curious to see if we could roll out a Capela, Kieff, and Tucker together

Highly overrated rebounder, non-existent shot blocker, mediocre defender, very turnover prone. He is one of those players who gives the illusion of being a strong inside player by acting tough. In reality he's a softie who barks a lot, and teams know that now.

However he's got decent size, acceptable speed for the 5 and some 4's, and you can't leave him open at the 3pt line. He can certainly give Tucker a 15 minute breather at the 4. He gives you the option of having a C with some range. Can't ask for more than 1 or 2 good skills from a backup picked up mid season.

If he knows his role and is willing to play within the team, could be a good backup.

Having them both on the floor together may be too redundant, add Shump to that and you are sacrificing a lot of offense.

One small step for Kieff, one giant leap for frontcourt depth.

We need more space puns, since we're Rockets fans and all :p

He does keep the defense honest with his 3pt shooting that is already something neither Faried or CC bring so that really should open up the lane for Chris and James. Plus James and the twins are boys so that's another good reason to bring on board. Morey just turned Melo, MCW, Ennis, Knight to Rivers, Faried, Shumpert, and possibly Morris. That's pretty impressive. I expect at least 2 of them to be in the rotation in the playoffs. That's big.
