This game was shocking as can be after watching Denver make almost EVERY damn shot against us. Our effort all around was AMAZING. Getting deflections, contesting shots and grabbing rebounds. Harden started the game off RIGHT by not settling for threes and and driving the ball in. Faried once again shows what a hell of a pick up hes been.
nO WE ARE NOT THE KEY THOUGH IS MAKING SURE BOTH OF THEM ARE NOT CANCELING OR SACRIFICING THE IMPACT THEY HAVE ON THE GAME.Until Cp3 gets his rythym back He and James need to play ypgrther only at crucial times within the game. I have noticed that the roles of the others changes depending on who is dominating the Ball. Its an advantage that the Rockets have because their ball dominant players have an opposing style. When : James is running the team-- iso to drive and kick to corners or open three maybe a lob is the game plan CP3 is running the team-- iso to midrange shot maybe a three mostlikely a 12 foot jumper drive + to the basket or a CUT to the hoop
Matt Harping the dirty b*stard as a player that he was against us in those mid 2000 series admitted harden is the best scorer in the nba and one of the top 3 he has seen or played against
The initial guy complains but the second guy is very quick to give compliments to Harden and call things like they are. He said most of them are fouls.
For better or for worse, it is all on James Harden, especially on a night like this where he is the only true playmaker. He set the tone today, and for much of the season his body language has been good and he's been leading by example. And words, too, when words are needed. He deserves some of the weight lifted off his shoulders. Capela will provide the lift, and if Chris Paul can at least play like he did in the Denver game for most of the time, that will alleviate some pressure as well. Eric Gordon needs to rest and rehabilitate that troublesome knee for a few games. Like @riko said, we're watching an all-time great in his prime, and I hope most basketball fans can appreciate that. They won't, but I hope they can.
That's fair, I definitely was surprised by how much Matt Harpring likes James Harden. It's usually the play-by-play guy who's more objective and the color dude who's more homery, but it was the opposite tonight.
Dude is unreal. I mean a special talent. But he can’t do it alone. In the playoffs teams will find a way to slow him down enough. Some other corpse will have to come to life. Chris? Eric? Need a volulunteer to step up and get a pulse.
Now that manu ginobilli and Tim Duncan retired, harden is free to get his job done. He not scared no more!!!!
