It was a close series and the mistakes were critical
And overall performance of two playoff appearances were horrid

Yup, definitely a close series...you can be up by 2 with less than a second left ready to tie the series, and then BOOM, you're knocked out because of a bad defensive mistake.

Airemy Lin was trash in the Portland series.

Morey couldn't wait to offload the chump even if he had to give up assets and that he did.

A nobody named Pablo Prigioni showed Airemy how to play the PG position and not be a liability.

u can keep burying ur head in the sand all u want, but the truth remains

to sweep Morey's stupid mistakes---passing on Dragic in order to give a poison pill FA contract to Lin---under the rug,
the Rox bribed the LAL, w a 1st round and a 2nd rounder, to take on Lin's contract

I find it an insult we have a non Rockets fan trying to tell us that horrendous moment of failure just some mistakes

That was the worst moment in Jeremy’s playoff career and yet the Lin fan somehow wants to minimize it or glorify it

A good article here about Lin's mentorship with Trae Young:

    https://theathletic.com/793275/2019...the-team-wanted-out-of-him-mentor-trae-young/

    Excerpt:
"Lin has been a calming influence for Young, especially in the beginning of the season when the latter struggled with poor shooting and careless turnovers. So Young watched and learned from Lin as he, too, started poorly after coming back from two major injuries that cost him essentially two years of basketball.

Patience and poise were the two words Young used to describe what he has taken from Lin. Lin went from being virtually unplayable in the first few weeks of the season to stepping up in November when he shot 56 percent from the field, 48 percent from 3-point range and 84 percent from the free-throw line. But Lin always would tell Young early in the season that he could not worry about what he had done in the previous game because the next one could be disastrous. That thinking has stuck with Young throughout his rookie season, which has featured numerous games when he looks like a future star at point guard to being someone who looks no better than a backup.

Young said during most games at halftime and right after the game ends, the two of them talk and go over how they can improve for the next play.

“Honestly, he’s a big reason why I feel like I’ve been able to progress at the level I’m at right now,” Young said."

Jeremy Lin doesn't start on Atlanta.
    He's reached his potential.

He shouldn't have played against Portland in that series.

Absolutely, Pablo Prigioni was a better ball handler and it showed in the playoffs the following season.

We should have traded Lin to the Lakers earlier , so Kobe can yell at him

Morey's stupidest decision was opting to give a poison pill FA contract to Lin, an undrafted baller
w only 3 weeks experience of meaning minutes in the NBA
    • instead of re-signing Dragic, a Rox baller w several years of meaningfull minutes in the NBA
      • refusing to give a player option on year 4

yet Morey azz-kissers absolve Morey and place all the blame on Lin, the convenient scapegoat

Do you understand the difference between "potential" and "peak"?

Pablo Prigioni was better at getting out of the way and letting Harden do his thing, I agree with that. Clearly McHale's plans for the Rockets that season was not a good fit for a PG who does anything more than 3 and D. No one is disputing that.

And Kobe was yelling at everybody that season. Midlife crisis and a legend falling back to Earth is painful to watch...

Not a surprise that Jeremy is great at mentoring his cousin Trae Yang.

LOL cannot believe these threads are still going on, don't you guys get tired of this? Are you all going to discuss until twenty years after Lin finished playing in the NBA?
