They offered a 3 year minimum guaranteed and he rejected. I hope a 2 year guaranteed is what the two sides agree upon.
True. He and his agent should be reminded of the cautionary tales of D-Mo, T-Jones, and a whole host of other players who've come and gone and never really achieved any success once they weren't playing alongside the likes of Harden. I left out Parsons who at least managed to get paid even if his playing career never amounted to squat after he left here. Besides, House will never come close to getting offers like that.
Cussing out coaches and his family doing the same in college. He thought he was a one and done player and got pissed he wasn't the focal point of the team and was constantly threatening to transfer when he didn't get his way.
I don't blame Morey for trying, but 3 years locked in team control at the minimum is pretty self serving. Time to do right by House, Harden, the rest of the team, and MDA and keep as much stability (in these unstable times) and give him the one year deal he wants and deserves. Some have been describing this as a gamble for House, but I totally disagree. I think that even in the most pessimistic of circumstances (significant injury excluded) he has more than shown that he is an NBA player worth at least the minimum. He will have zero trouble getting a contract in the off-season.
oh wow. well he hasnt' shown that type of attitude as a Rocket. He poured all that confidence into his shot until it was time for contract negotiations... damn...

No reason to be upset by the situation if you think we can get him for the minimum again. People are upset because they know he'll get away for more because he's earning it with his play.
Throwing away a 4 million dollar contract from $50k/year is a big come up. Harden makes his game so easy and he’s misguided if he thinks going back to the G League will help him get a bigger contract
You're mistaken, nobody is upset House is going to get away, They are upset he declined just when he was finding his place.
Maybe, but it's a Catch 22. He turned down the Rockets' offer because he wants to earn more money in the offseason. Except that by turning down that offer, he's relegated to the G-League where he's losing thousands of dollars every day and missing out on opportunities to convince some other team to throw a bigger contract his way come July.
