Thin tortilla chips and fresh guacamole
Big ol' plate of Tex-Mex (any dish is fine)
    Gigantic margarita (or 3)
    Wife's homemade chocolate chip/M&M cookies
30 minutes on the toilet (but totally worth it)

Went to Lorenzo's the other day. Man that's a good sandwich. It's between there and Houston's for the best French Dip in town, IMO.

Having Tony Luke's in town is great because we have a true Philly Cheesesteak. It's about having the right bread and they're one of the few that do it.

    Besides those 2 things...

    Fried Chicken
A well cooked (NOT WELL DONE) bone-in ribeye.
    Breakfast Tacos
The bacon wrapped jalapenos w/ cream cheese from HEB
    Chicken Wings

I remember The Black Lab having an outstanding french dip.

It's amazing to me how many places can take a philly (let's be honest, it's not the most complicated sammich in the world) and completely **** it up by putting it on some mushy-ass wonderbread roll.

Ribeye, 136 degrees sous vide for an hour, 1 minute each side high heat on cast iron skillet.

Not sauce needed. Though if I'm feeling froo-froo, I'll make a raspberry reduction and add some blue cheese crumbles.

1 minute? why even sous vide it if you are gonna put it on a high heat skillet that long? do 15 seconds each side.

Not trying to convert this into a steak thread, but my go-to steak preparation is 30 secs a side on a smoking hot cast iron, then two minutes a side (or less, depending on thickness) under the broiler. 5 minute steak, perfect crust, medium rare, excellent.

Never heard of Sous Vide before, but after researching, I'm very interested.

Not crazy about the cook time, but I love my ribeye medium rare Pittsburgh. I have the foodsaver sealer because that how I store all the fish I catch. I might have to invest in a precision cooker.

the nice thing about the sous vide cook time is the steak will hold at that temp for an hour or so without overcooking allowing you time to do other dishes etc and time it all out perfectly.

We talked about it some here: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/cooking-air-fryers.280491/page-2

I got the Anova one recently and it is pimptastic. Haven't done a beef steak yet but the venison backstrap was ridiculously good, pork chops too.

I'm about to pull the trigger. Any suggestions on which one. I'd love to try some turkey breast, fajitas, and bronto ribs.
