so basically we play no real contenders next 5 games?

this is a TRUE litmus test if we have turned corner or not.. if we beat up on those teams then the corner has officially been turned

I once was spammed by 'genius' posters on this board ridiculing me posting how midrange opens up threes or layups. So dear fellows, you should watch that game before you act smart with your numbers again

I couldn't believe the stats. Rockets shot 38% FG for the game?!?!? Bucks shot 48% for the game, the Rockets at the end still had a chance to win. Many teams shoot that percentage against the Bucks, they lose big. I take this as a battle lost, but in a war, we would win, or in a series we would win.

    You beat the drop with

    5 shooters.

You beat their 5 out with

    5 switch defenders.

Yep. Just think if Clint had played better, and guys had just taken the shot instead of trying to get it in to Clint covered by defenders like a hand in a beehive. Just think if CP3 and EGO hadn't been hurt, we had a backup Center who could help out, we hadn't had 18 turnovers. Wait, did I say 18? Wow!!!! Come on man!!!!

Live and learn. Next time we win that battle!

They out coached us, which led to our guys making too many bad passes into coverage, and losing their guys on defense. Nobody wins with 18 turnovers. We could have won that game but didn't adjust well enough.

not sure about coaching but you can see on harden he become complacent when we got that solid lead couple of times and started with lazy passes
he also refused to take midrange until we were down by a lot.. we were back in the saddle and everything opened up as soon as he started using the floater
this is not on dantoni(except perhaps to call the timeouts)

Lazy passes are frustrating to watch. Sometimes our guys hesitated on taking the shot, passing instead right into coverage. On the bright side, I did love the Globetrotters two backwards passes to get that ball right to the corner 3. Favorite play of the game. Most shocking play was when James got cold cocked.

All this talk of offense, when the game was lost on defense in the third quarter.

It was a layup drill for the Bucks.

    Our effort sucked.

I still can’t believe D’Antoni allowed the Bucks to go on a 29-5 run and did not call a timeout. Amazing.

Guys, get ready for the "This is why Giannis is the MVP over Harden" conversations.

We defended decently in the first half but our defense is real weak on 1v1 defense with 5 man out that they run limiting our help defense in paint. Bucks had small adjustments throughout the game that opened it up for them, mainly isolating Giannis with post up in the second half with other 4 out.

Lengthier teams like the Bucks will bring out our defensive deficiencies and lack of size for rebounding. It’s a credit to Harden that he was able to keep us in the game, but also the coaching could have been better to give us advantages with fresher Harden in 4th along with proper timeouts and in game adjustments.

It’s impressive that we were even in the game at the end without Gordon or Paul with the way the Bucks play (similar to our style but with more emphasis on paint and lengthy players).
