CB FA market is really weak this year and for some reason, we cannot evaluate OL FA for anything. Get the best OL or CB in the first and second, doesn’t matter which IMO.

Lawrence is only a true freshman.

Texans can, however, keep that Clemson pipeline going.

I have a couple of under the radar DBs in mind but every time I mention a player they shoot all the up in the draft. Of course out of Texans reach. So I'll hold off for a while.

This is how I felt when Mahomes skyrocketed

Almost all of their skill players are underclassman as well. Ridiculous.

Are they at least over 6’0? We need taller CBs

Kris Boyd in the 6th would be intriguing. Kid has everything you look for in a CB. Tackles well and has the size and athleticism to cover big WRs. Unfortunately he’s also a penalty machine which will drive you absolutely nuts. That being said, I would be pretty happy if we grabbed him that low.

I know a lot of people want a speedster to pair with D-Hop but him and LJH would be fun to watch. Big receiver who played a lot in the slot. Herman also had him in the wildcat and KR/PR at times although don’t recall him getting many chances to actually return one.

Love LJH. He can do it all. That bigger WR we’re missing. Think he’ll be a steal in the 2nd-3rd for somebody

Man I’d be surprised if he went that high. Really only has one productive season under his belt and don’t think he will test out all that great at the combine (assuming he gets an invite). Apparently he got a “3rd to 6th” round grade from the draft committee as well.

All that being said, I’d be really happy if we were to get him somehow. Big target, blocks well, and makes a lot of plays

Would y’all prefer a corner in round 1 then 2 tackles in round 2 or a Tackle in round 1 then a corner and another tackle in round 2 ???

If we’re basing off of Texans history I see a CB being our 1st rd pick. Just depends on who’s there. Gotta go BPA at those two positions. Seems like they believe in Davenport & Zach Martin moving forward, rather that’s right or wrong. I’d pencil in Davenport, Martin & Fulton to start the season. Could see something like this
    1. CB
    2. OT
    2. OG
    3. CB
    5. WR or RB

Probably a guarantee we get at least 1 CB and 1 OT with 2 of our top 3 picks. Won’t be surprised to see them add a WR, RB or TE with one of the 2nds or 3rd. They’ll want to keep adding weapons to the offense & if you feel you’ve got a stud WR or RB in the 2nd it’s not wise to pass that up. Martinas Rankin was just drafted in the 3rd last year. He may step in at guard opposite of Fulton.

Won’t be surprised to see our OL look like
LT Davenport, LG Rankin, C Martin, RG Fulton, RT 1st or 2nd round rookie. Could be a pleasant surprise or just as bad. Would all depend on Davenport & Rankin’s development along with the rookie.
