That’s why you look beyond numbers and understand the game situation. The 1st half by the defense was all time bad. The game was arguably lost right there. If it was merely 14-0 or 10-0 the Texans call the game differently. They don’t completely abandon the run game. They kick a FG at the end of the half instead of missing the 4th down conversion. I suppose if “end result” is all that matters then you think BoB did a great job this year too right. 11-5 and division champs. Certainly doesn’t deserve to be fired.

It wasn't bad luck - Peyton Manning expressed interest in playing for the Texans he turned him down, and then proceeded to go 2-14. And yes, they could have made the salary math work.

LOL. You guys complain about O’Brien’s conservative offense and what’s your solution? Bring back kubiak who runs the most conservative, most predictable and most boring offense.

Kubiak was pretty much ran out of town. LOL.

The first half offense was all-time bad too. 0 points, a turnover, several 3 & outs. If the score is 21-14, maybe the 2nd half plays out differently.

The entire game by the offense was "all time bad" in order to use that as inaccurately as you did.

If the Texans had better coaching and a more prepared QB, they could have come back given that the defense didn't allow the Colts to score in the 2nd half.

I know your only intention here is to deflect blame from Watson because you are one of his non-football super fans, but it's just not going to work. BOB and Watson ensured the team couldn't beat ANYONE. In the last 10 years there have been only 3 teams to score 7 or fewer points in a playoff home game.....2 of them now are by BOB teams, the other was by a team that fired their offensive coordinator almost immediately and their head coach before the next season was out.

Kubiak's offense is the greatest offense in NFL history compared to the garbage BOB runs.

Kubiak's offense worked when Schaub was showing semblance of being an NFL QB. Kubiak being fired fell on the sudden incompetence of the QB.

Shawn waterstone sucks man. The Texans are shite, will always be. Occasionally they fraud the mainstream but the fans will keep lining up to be fed crap at top dollar.

I'm a catch Flack for this, but I think the Colts beat the Chiefs. Who knows what happens after that.

Then he went on to win a SB with his offense on a team where the best performing QB was Brock Osweiler for the majority of the season.

    Because of that offense??

They won with an all time great QB (at the end but still a great mind and manager) and a great great defense.

In any case, lol at anyone wanting Kubiak.

Coaching needs to change but there’s a ton of better options.

Seems hard to imagine Kubes coming back to football at all. His health deteriorated in Houston; and despite winning it all in Denver, seems like he burned out his fuse there too. I'm sure he's a great guy and a good or decent or better coach, but it just seems like he doesn't have the constitution to be an NFL head coach, over multiple years.

That offense kept them alive when that all time great QB was playing so poorly he had to be benched and was outplayed by Brock Osweiler. Now sure, the great defense also helped, but if you have a team with a BOB quality offense, that defense isn't going to be able to save you.

All those amazing games and we just furthered our reputation as the laughing stock of football. Nothing will change.

whatever. I'd rather lose the way the Texans did than lose the way the Bears just did. I've already gotten over the Texans loss, while I'm sure Bears fans will be stinging from their loss for a long time.

The Bears had a chance to win at the end, the Texans' offense was far too pathetic to give their team any chance whatsoever. I'd rather lose with a missed FG.

What's sad is as bad as a team like Jacksonville was this year... they can still say they got to the AFC championship game. When will Houston ever get there?
