Maybe, maybe not. They can surely bring more intelligence and an ability to have their team prepared to play on game day and to make adjustments during the game as needed.
The fact that someone who apparently used to work inside the organization thinks that could even be a possibility gives me a glimmer of hope that a change could be coming.
I really do think there's a chance. Slim chance but still...if it were Bob McNair then no chance he fires BOB but...People have to realize we have a new owner. I'm not going after Bob McNair personally, he was a great person for the city and all that...but he took a very casual approach to owning this team and what many would say was just far too...patient and tolerant with mediocrity. Who knows how his son will see this. If it were up to me...BOB has had enough time to show if he's going to be a good coach or not and I don't think he's anything special. I think we could do a lot better and with the defense aging now is the time to not rebuild the team but retool it. I'd certainly take Arians or a more experienced proven coach than a hot coordinator.
Couldn’t agree more. I don’t know her at all but I could also see Janice McNair talking to Cal and them viewing this as an opportunity to start a new chapter for the franchise and for Cal to put his own stamp on this organization.
An average NFL coach does not win 11 games with this team. I do not know if OBie is an elite NFL HC, but he is a good one. If you need to scream and pound sand, yell for better talent. The bitter truth is that every playoff team would look at Texans tape and know that the Texans OL can be exploited. Game planning for that is drop dead simple.
If OBie had not cut all pro OL breaking camp ever year, ... The GM is responsible for bringing talent. HC makes roster decisions from what he has been given.
As Brian T. Smith just wrote, “Bill O'Brien's now 1-3 in the playoffs and has been blown out twice by a combined 44 points at home. That clearly doesn't cut it for a fifth-year coach... It was a year when 0-3 became 11-5 and a division title. If that's enough for you, I don't know what to say. It was another season when the Texans disappeared at the worst time.“ https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sp...at-the-13511366.php?__twitter_impression=true
Kubiak is coming back to coaching I doubt he'd choose the Texans but his offense with Watson would be awesome and he drafted Hopkins
