Don't get me wrong, he's a GREAT player obviously but I notice he does goes ghost in 4th quarters and doesn't really have many clutch moments.

The Pelicans this year have lost some games they should have won because Anthony Davis has not stepped up like a superstar is usually supposed to do in 4th quarters.

Why are people sweeping this under the rug?

He is a far more advanced Kevin Love.

    Huge numbers on subpar teams.

At some point in time, someone will question why he can never get his team home court advantage.

    Maybe.

Because the lovefest with him is so unwarranted.

I can't think of a better running mate with Harden than Anthony Davis.

For all the "as for now, sources says Davis is not yet focused on asking for a trade" argument, seems like Davis is indeed asking about getting traded, but he's doing it by putting his team in the right position to start the process lol

They should probably just trade him for Thon Maker.

I think Clutch is overrated no one star in the NBA can win it all anyway so what is the problem if AD is bad in the clutch? Shaq wasn't exactly clutch either but he dominated so much the NBA modified the rules against him and he STILL got a 3 peat against TD and the Spurs in their prime.

Just pair him with a closer the NBA salary cap can afford two max deals+ 3 mid levels+ exceptions before they are reduced to vet mins and rookie deals.

AD still a top player in the NBA. Maybe not top 5 but certainly top 10.

He never was a player that I'd be scared of if he played against the Rockets. Sure he stuffs the statsheet, but you never get this feeling like he's leaving you no hope... Harden on the other hand, can straight up demoralize his opponents.

He seems kinda too long, even Harden can handle his back to the basket muscle game, when it gets physical and fatigue accolades in the 4th quarter it must be hard for him physically. Great player tho

    Here's my take.

Davis is unquestionably a superstar in this league but he's not a guard so he has to rely on others to feed him.

Harden on the other hand has to rely on no one. He has the ball at all times so when he wants to take over a game he simply does so.

Davis is also easier to double because you pretty much know where he wants the ball at as opposed to Harden who can be anywhere on the floor with the rock at anytime.

Davis may have an issue with being clutch. But if we had a player with his skillset on this team we'd be unbeatable.

Anthony Davis reminds me a lot of Ralph Sampson, A shooter, excellent dribbler, low post scorer, injury prone.
Both a Former #1 Pick both have underachieved in their career.
