One sack. Another TFL. Another QB hit. Plus at least one called hold by an OL

I counted 4 blatant holds by the neck to Watt and Clowney.

Plus multiple other plays that he absolutely blew up that don't show up on the stat sheet. Even if some fans can't see it, he's absolutely one of the most dominant defensive players in the NFL.

Needs to stop the stupid penalties. The late hit on Darnold was particularly bad.

For sure, the penalties are annoying, and he'll really need to work on that part of his game, but he's still an absolutely dominant force on defense.

This is unequivocally false. He was all over the place today.

I have to admit, I made this thread in anger. While Clowney is a great talent, I still don't know if helhe be worth what he wants.

I'd love to have him back for his talent alone, I just don't want to break the bank for him.

To me, you franchise him for a year or two and try to get him on a team friendly deal or trade him for high draft picks during the second year.

How is it that this guy keeps lining up in the neutral zone? I've always thought that that has to be the dumbest thing a player can do. I wonder if our coaches work with him on this issue? Practice lining up. It seems so simple and basic.

He is an athletic freak, and also an idiot who makes crucial mistakes at bad times. Will not be worth the money he will command.

Let him go, let him go....don't come around here no more....

He's worth it if he's healthy.

If they didn't want to pay him, they should have traded him before the season.

Now they either pay him or lose him for nothing (except compensatory picks)

Every game he gets caught lining up offsides. He must be uncoachable. Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

Find a good to great player
Find one or two things you don't like
TRade or not sign the player
Spend 3 yrs b****ing about not having a good player in that position
Spend a high draft pick on the player in that position
    Repeat

The Texans and Texan fans game plan for players

Aren't you the guy BAMming about the Rockets not resigning Ariza and trading Ryno?

Clowney and McKinney showed why they were pro-bowlers yesterday. Clowney however still had his typical crucial penalties that seem to happen per game. He's an athletic freak but a bonehead. Him being a bonehead is the biggest reason why he's not a generational player like Donald, Watt in his prime and to an extent Mack. I'm on board with franchising him and seeing what happens.

Interesting idea. Has any team tried this? I guess Pittsburgh with Bell, but he's holding out. Clowney could hold out (he should with his knee issues).
