This is unfortunate. I think on a team that's better at developing young players he might have become a solid rotation player. Being on a contender wasn't a great place for him. The Rockets couldn't wait for him and so they probably didn't make his development a priority.

As a fellow dude of Chinese heritage, I was glad to see him get drafted by the team. As a Rockets fan, however, it was plain to see that he just didn't belong in the league. At least not yet. Yes, maybe Scola falling on him took away an opportunity or two, but I feel like if he had showed out in team practices and hustled like there was no tomorrow, he wouldn't have been waived.

Passion for the game and a high motor are both as important as natural talent, and I've yet to see those from Mr. Chee. Here's hoping that he develops the way that we predicted, and that he has a long career ahead of him. Don't know who it will be for, but he'd better light the G-league on fire if he wants more chances.

Yeah I liked this guy, thought he had an interesting game and a lot of it. Unfortunately I guess he was always hurt and couldn't put on weight for whatever reason but like several have said above, I wish we would've tried a little harder to develop him. if i were someone like the Hawks I'd jump on him.
