not only does he not get an offensive foul, they'll call the foul on the defender, that's what i mean. he'll just bull his way in and any contact is a foul. so its even.

 

They are really pushing this narrative..

 

Lebron doesn't get the same treatment because he's not the same player. Harden's craftier than Lebron. Players foul Harden because they're worried about his step back, so they innovertly push themselves forward thinking he's gonna go back. Harden knows this so he'll normally move forward causing a collision or let the defender bump him. The fouls are legit fouls with Harden

 

bruce bowen used to do that crap all the time, so i'm glad they are calling it, because they could seriously injure them selves landing on someones foot.

 

Freedom of movement cuts both ways. The league as a whole is being shaken up by this. Defense has to change, and the artful foul drawers of the league are studying new and inventive ways to draw fouls.

Tangentially speaking, the last two games the Rockets defense and bench contribution has been stellar. The Greenhouse effect is in full force and the Rockets are showing an ability to lock in that we haven't seen all year. True, it's a two game sample size, but still.
