Westbrook has had a real uneven start to the season. Plus the lost games with injury.

BUT, the team is generally doing well. They have had a CUPCAKE schedule. Seems like they are always playing the worst teams. And guys like Denis Schoeder (who isn't shooting well) but still produces for them to mitigate RWs uneven game.

Makes me angry to say, but Sam Presti really made the right roster moves (bench depth) this summer. And the team is flourishing. The chemistry looks a lot like the Rockets of last year.

They finally solved the "Westbrook needs more help" problem. :D

OKC pretty much took the Rockets spot as the #2 team in the West. As of today they LEAD the West. Look at them. Presti got the bench depth moves right (that Morey did not) and OKC is firing on all cylinders. They even won games without Westbrook (something they would not do last year) because of the bench depth. Roberson hasn't played all season and they are not even missing him. Think about that.

    -Noel for vet min.
-Schoeder for Melo (instead of waive/stretch Melo).
-Grant was kept and didn't walk.
-Dialo in the 2nd round of the draft

Holes at backup C and PG, important areas, were FILLED.

    Something similar we could've do:

    - sign Ennis for vet min.
    - Anderson for Biyombo (i wonder if this was something available without moving a 1st rounder or Melton but just a 2nd rounder, if not straight up)
    - resign Luc with 4.5M of the MLE
    - keep Melton

    Capela/Biyombo/Nene/Hartenstein/Zhou
PJ/Luc/Clark (not sure how we could've sign him without the MLE though, i guess with a two year deal...)
    Ennis/Green
    Harden/Gordon
    Paul/Melton

Russ is averaging a triple double again...it could be the 3rd straight year he does this, and nobody even cares

it’s crazy to think that it was the driving force behind his MVP campaign just a few years ago

I am eager awaiting Roberson's comeback though. See what they can do full strength.

Schröder is dayum streaky but dayum streaky.

Last season showed people how dumb the trip-doub thing was. And the Thunder was winning earlier while Westbrook was out. So it turned out that it should be "The Thunder needs more REAL help" and not "Westbrook needs more help."

BTW, CP3 had a triple double last game shooting 2-12.

It is crazy! Thing is, he is having a poor season. But is getting lots of stats. It is Paul George that is buoying that team. PLUS the bench depth of Schroder. Pisses me off they are clicking and the Rockets aren't.

Better to click later in the season than at the beginning

I read that as "shaving" not "saving"... and then I thought to myself, why would George shave his own ass? Does it make him faster? More confident? A better lover? Maybe Deuce meant George is shaving Westbrook's ass? Why would PG do that? Does WB have a hairy ass that even he can't shave?

All that in the course of a second, then I decided to re-read your post and I was let down. It's not a bad post, just not what I was looking for in terms of asses or shaving.

It seems alot of people have them as the second best team in the west
the only true threat to the vaunted Golden State

    What am I missing
    PG13 is playing incredibly
    but
I dunno . . . I am still thinking they will have problems
with most of the top Western teams

Will be important to see how Roberson comes back i guess, cause their offense is going to be meh regardless, they're built to win with defense, lenght and athleticism, if Roberson can give them a boost there, i think they will be a problem in the playoffs, if Roberson is done i don't think they have a chance.

IT seems their reliance on him coming back to top form
    mirrors
this idea that Boogie Cousins will come back 100% top form
