It just takes two teams to create a bidding war. A 2nd rounder or young prospect is all they probably ask. A team like the 76ers or Nuggets could make it happen pretty easily.

Ariza is averaging 9.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

He is younger and better than Korver.

Suns want draft picks in return.

I'm not sure if Ariza is the solution. He's not what he used to be, but he is a guy who we can plug in our system and play right away. Comes down to what it will cost us...

Even if Ariza's shooting is permanently busted, he's a better player than some of the guys we are running out there.

Knight can't go back to the Suns, so it's hard to get him cheaply.

(from the article in above link)
So the Suns might wind up dealing Ariza, especially since they still need a point guard. Ariza would be an attractive piece to swap for a player at that position.

Take the Los Angeles Lakers for example.

They have Lonzo Ball, Rajon Rondo and Lance Stephenson, but with LeBron James, the Lakers could do without one of them.

Of the three, Rondo might be the best fit in Phoenix because of his experience, but Ball could create an up-tempo style which could help maximize the Suns' youth.

I personally think Ariza has nothing left to give to a contender on the court. As a locker room voice sure.

He didn't go much into the argument but yeah, like the Lakers would trade Lonzo in any trade for Ariza...i mean, they can probably get him for free if he gets bought out lol

Remember the first time we got Ariza? He was going to take over McGrady's role. LOL

Ariza's first season here was a disaster. I think that season made him realize he's better as a role player forever.

I will never forget about him trying to flying elbow Derozan

    Lin to Phoenix
    Knight + Rox 2019 1st to Atlanta
    Ariza to Houston

Get it done Morey. No risk of Ariza not fitting in + get to dump Knight's final season. Phoenix gets a PG and saves $2.5m while Atlanta gets a pick for renting Knight (1 season more than Lin).

Btw I do find it extremely odd that they gave him $15m, which is exactly enough to dump Knight, and the guys who did it were fired soon after the rumors emerged. Then again, Sarver could have just as easily said no to the signing, assuming he is an owner that OK's each deal.
