McCann to the Braves. Good for Houston because with McCann and Flowers it makes it less likely Atlanta will be in the mix for Realmuto, Grandal, Ramos, or Gomes.

Good for McCann. He gets to retire with the team that drafted him and gave him his shot. He was an important part of the last 2 years and I wish him well.

Thanks for your part in getting the Astros their first ring. I'll miss the McCannonball calls.

We aren't winning Game 5 if not for his homer late in the game. What an impact this guy left on this franchise in only 2 years. Best of luck to a sure fire HOF.

He was awesome, and I didn't realize it until he was an Astro, and I wish him the best at the end of his career.

He could get a bench job anytime he wants going forward.

Um surprised he didn't have Carlos Gomez listed at 120th

I’m amazed how much I liked this guy. When we brought him in I thought he was a fish out of water. A jackass that wouldn’t appreciate the young guys. I was so wrong and I’m forever grateful to him! MCCANNONNNBALLLLLLLL!!

This sucks. Beltran and McCann really had a lot of value off the field for us.

Hopefully the FO identifies a new batch of grizzled veteran leaders that have some on-the-field skills left.

He was an indispensable key contributor to the Astros for the time he was here. But we have always known that Jeff Luhnow needs to juggle the economic aspect of the team to maximize the window of opportunity.

McCann, Keutchel, Marwin, Harris, Etc... will be expendable due to cruel financial reality. Another reminder to appreciate a team as composed year after year, because there will always be roster turnover after the season ends.

Bregman, Correa, Altuve, Cole, Springer, Verlander are the core right now. It’s going to be extremely expensive to keep all those guys signed....

Great to see him going home. It wasn't hard to tell how much he meant to everyone on our team. Best wishes to him.

McCann and Beltran seem to have injected so much into the intangible spirit of the team in addition to all the veteran advice they brought to the young players. I'd love to have both back as coaches someday, or at the very least guys just like them.

I'll never forget his insurance homerun in game 5 of the WS. Don't win the chip without it!

Once a champion, always a champion.

Thank you for being a key part of the best World Series ever, I wish him only the best!

It sucks he was injured for so much of last year. Sad to see him go because, when healthy, he's a huge asset at his position.

    Good luck, Brian!
