That’s doesn’t sound like a very good return for Butler, but it’s good enough for the timber wolves . Rockets gonna have to fix their quirks internally. They’ve got the talent and payroll already, now just need to string together some momentum.
Saric is actually a very talented player that was on a team that couldn't fully utilize his abilities. Point forward talent
I get everyone here is frustrated the Rockets didn’t get Butler, but this is a good deal for both teams. The 76ers get Butler, and the Wolves get a 27 year old elite 3 and D small forward to replace Butler, and a 24-year-old stretch four that averaged 15 and 7 last year. Neither have bad contracts either. It’s a better deal than Josh Richardson and garbage from Miami and anything the Rockets were willing to offer.
Hard not to have a better deal than this pile of garbage. Saric maybe continues to develop into a solid player (he's off to a brutal start this year after having a pretty good year last season), but Covington is owed a lot of money as a role player.
Yeah, i don't think this is a great deal for the Wolves, Covington plays in Wiggins spot, Saric is good but a weak defender at the 4, imo a terrible fit with Towns but, whatever...
