Maybe I missed something. What does one thing have to do with the other?

Probably something to do with the thread the "Rockets are undefeated since BTG got banned". I suspect there will be some more copycat ones

Can people stop talking about him? Just be happy he's gone and stop giving him the attention he craves.

Lady at work claims she has ties with the Astros said we were going to let him go due to money issues and Correa too because he's a locker room cancer

Considering they offered Keuchel a qualifying offer, they clearly aren’t letting him go. He may choose to go, but he can also choose to stay. At the very least, the Astros are committed to paying him almost $18,000,000 next season.

He's not an 18M a year pitcher anymore.

I think any contending team in baseball would sign him to a 1 yr / $18MM deal without hesitation. The larger concern with him is longer term and not wanting to make a 3-5 year commitment to him.

If multiple years, I agree. My point is that the Astros clearly did not allow him to walk away as the poster’s work lady contends. All it takes is a stroke of the pen and, voila, the Astros are paying him almost $18,000,000.

I personally would not forward to hearing him run his mouth about it all season.

I agree. I have concerns with his health even just for a year. Not my money though.

Bring Back Bobby or Dallas Keuchel?

    Honestly I'm voting for Bobby.

There was no way he was going to take the QO, so it was a no-brainer to offer it.

Morton is the one I'm curious about. I'd love him to come back, unless his shoulder is wrecked.

I once had ties to the Astros; very high-up. And I can tell you for a fact that the baseball operations is buttoned up like Fort Knox and that any information that leaks is far more likely to be wild speculation from staff, most of which are young kids with no inside information.

If Correa were truly a cancer, they'd trade him yesterday. His return would be astronomical and it would eliminate one of the largest looming contracts from the books, freeing them up to consider urgent extension for Cole or Verlander or Springer or even Bregman.

Who they heck can you get for Correa that would be equivalent in talent and contract. Maybe Lindor or Seager. Trying to get equvalent talent for a very high level player at a cheap contract would be hard to do.

Its 18 mil. If he comes back and has a big year maybe he can get more. I mean this year he was only at a no. 3 starter level.
