EGO is one of the most disciplined players in the league. His fight through season after season after injury is his constant reminder to become stronger, better and efficient.

EGo is going to play hard regardless. And, a very trustworthy, close ear has told me multiple times how much EGo LOVES the city of Houston's community. He'll never tank. Even if he knew he was being traded, he would still play out of pride and love.

Morey gave EGo a second chance in this league. Without this team and its structure, EGo is not 6th ,man of the year and a legitimate threat. In any other system that doesn't value his talent, he's just another spot up shooter. Houston gave him new legs.

Morey also gave Ryan Anderson a second chance. Unfortunately, he lost confidence and allowed off-court issues to interfere. The injuries didn't help.

Ego deserves every dollar in that contract. He plays hard, ESPECIALLY when his shot isn't falling. His defense is underrated.

Really appreciate this post from @Codman on EG. Yeah he has been in a slump, but he lays it on the line every night. I think he will turn it around. He came around a bit last night as well.
