Game 3 Will Tell us a Tremendouser Amount About the Season

    Game 2 hasn't happened yet. You know it, I know it, our moms know it. The whole team (with 1 or 2 exceptions) looks like they will play basketball on Saturday. Melo will appear to be on the court doing something, hard to tell yet as it has not happened yet.

    It will happen. We haven't had a lot of time to develop chemistry, and maybe we just thought we were better than we are and that we could walk all over the Lakers; unless we win, then I guess we look good.

    Game 3 is a prototypical wake up call. In LA, on AT&T Sportsnet Southwest, vs Lou Williams Clippers. Another team we should beat. Another team that hasn't developed chemistry.

    If we don't come out with intense energy and excellent team play, it is going to set a terrible precedent for the season and the 'Melo experiment.' If we fight our asses off, win or lose, we can be very optimistic about the season.

    Every game is actually the Finals game 7 and we should all panic or celebrate accordingly.

    Game 3 is the most must-win-non-must-win game of the season since the last must-win-non-must-win game. I'm ready..

    TL;DR This season is a must win.

    I get the gist of the post . But , if the rockets look multiple steps slow again and don't bring more effort .... it will be a disappointing sign .

    How many times did we lose 2 in a row last year ?

    Different team , different mentality.... it's not necessarily a bad thing for a team to pace itself .... but last year our entire identity was based on toughness and wanting to prove we were a great team .

    I dunno if we have the talent to "flip the switch"

    Paul and capela in particular need to look like they are awake . G1 was so weird because how often have we seen CP3 or Clint look that bad . They are our core players and we should give them the benefit of the doubt . But if Paul can't kick it into gear soon I'll worry age is becoming more of a factor . And I just have no words for Clint last night .

    I know Towns and Gobert aren't on AD's level .... but still Clint DOMINATED them. One would expect him to at least somewhat hold his own against AD.

    But yeah, he played Timid
