Wonder why they're waiting on releasing the games 3 and 4 times? Its not as if they don't know the NLCS matchup. I actually expect 2 of the three games at MMP to be in the afternoon. They actually played afternoon baseball at Yankee Stadium last year for the ALCS because Cubs-Dodgers was that much more attractive of a series. With NLCS games 3-5 being in LA, I also don't see them making the west coast game the early game.

Thanks. That's actually a pretty fair/even distribution of afternoon/evening games between the two matchups.
I don't get too wrapped around the axle on prime time games (beyond the pain in the ass of trying to go to afternoon weekday games downtown; not thrilled) - but I'm surprised this series isn't across-the-board prime time. I know LA is a big market, etc. But this is baseball's marquee match-up. Astros and Yankees/Red Sox look poised to do battle for years. You'd think MLB would want to showcase it every chance they get, especially given Milwaukee is prominently involved in the other series.
Didn't he pitch well as a relief pitcher last playoffs against the Astros? Although starter and relief is different.
My take Astros in 6 Naturally I'm concerned about Correa's back and Altuve's knee. But when you look at the numbers and how we attacked the Indians...who are a great offensive team...we just out smarted them. Our game-plan is exceptional and I think that along with our bullpen makes the difference in this series. Relief Pitching during playoffs: Granted small sample size in playoffs Houston relievers 9.2 innings pitched .093 ERA Boston relievers 17.00 innings pitched 3.71 ERA Starting Pitching during playoffs: Houston Starters: 17.1 innings pitched 2.60 ERA Boston Starters: 19.0 innings pitched 3.32 ERA Fielding (defense) 2018 Season Astros ranked #1 (63 errors) Boston ranked #7 (77 errors) Team batting playoffs (small sample size) Astros 104 AB's .327 AVG 8HR's 21 runs 20 RBI Boston 140 AB's .279 4HR's 27 runs 26 RBI
First ALCS matchup featuring two 100-win teams since 1977. Astros are favored 53% vs 47% to win the series.
I feel so good about this team, even with the nagging injuries to Carlos and Altuve. The days off will be so helpful. I just don't see them beating us 4 times. My prediction... and damn, I hope I'm right... is a clean sweep. I think our pitching staff - starters and relievers - are too good. Our lineup is too deep, our players too confident... we're going to show them what a dynasty is.
